HITES
Each year, the Soft Materials group participates in the HITES 12 program to provide an engineering learning experience for rising high school seniors. HITES 12 is sponsored by the Office of Diversity Programs and took place between July 10-15, 2016. Students in our lab completed a project investigating the influence of intermolecular interactions on polymer properties by synthesizing nylons and investigating their crystallinity by infrared spectroscopy measurements.
